It’s a short walk from the car park to Pot Alley, a red rock ocean gorge near Kalbarri, Western Australia.

What is Pot Alley?

Pot Alley is a gorge created by the Indian Ocean in Western Australia. It is one of the highlights in the coastal section of Kalbarri National Park.

The gorge is made up of distinctly-layered walls of red rock, with several overhanging ledges and a few mini caves. In the middle is a very small beach, which the Indian Ocean crashes into.

Where is Pot Alley?

Pot Alley is around 8km south of the town of Kalbarri. It is just to the south of the better-known Red Bluff Lookout, between Eagle Gorge and Rainbow Valley.

Is there a car park at Pot Alley, Kalbarri?

There is a small car park at the end of Pot Alley Road, which branches off George Grey Road. However, a short walk is required to go into the gorge and reach Pot Alley Beach.

How long is the Pot Alley Walk?

The walk from the car park to Pot Alley is around 400 metres long, but it is rocky and uneven

How much does it cost to visit Pot Alley?

There is no specific charge for visiting Pot Alley, but you will need to pay the Kalbarri National Park entrance fee. At the time of writing, this is $15 per vehicle per day.

If you play it smart, you can cover several other sights in Kalbarri National Park in the same day. In the inland section, that includes the Z Bend Lookout, Nature’s Window and the Kalbarri Skywalk.
