After leaving Sydney’s southern suburbs, the Princes Highway passes between Heathcote National Park and the Royal National Park. It then largely follows the Illawarra Escarpment past Helensburgh towards Wollongong. The Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh makes for a decent stop if you want to turn the Sydney to Mollymook drive into more of a road trip.
