Where is the Bargara caravan park?

Bargara Beach is the main beach suburb of Bundaberg, Queensland. It’s arguably a far more enjoyable place to stay than the city itself. It’s also really close to the Mon Repos Conservation Park, where you can watch loggerhead turtles haul themselves up the beach to lay eggs.

The Bargara caravan park is by Bargara Beach to the north of the town, next to the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club.

There is plenty of Bargara Beach accommodation available. There are apartment hotels, motels and resorts. But if you’re looking for cheap Bargara Beach accommodation, you’re probably not going to look too far beyond the Big 4 Breeze Holiday Parks Bargara. That’s a horribly unwieldy name, so let’s just call it what everyone staying there calls it – the Bargara Beach caravan park.

The Bargara Beach caravan park is in a magnificent location, just behind the beach and the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club. Big 4 is a chain with several holiday parks across the country, and as such, the facilities tend to be a be a bit higher quality than at some independent caravan parks.

So along with the usual camp kitchen, barbecues and laundry, there are a few bonus extras. The Big 4 Holiday Park in Bargara has a children’s playground, tennis courts and a basketball court, plus bike and kayak hire.

For campers and caravanners, sites at the Bargara Beach caravan park cost from $33 per night. That’s for an unpowered site, however. If you want a powered site, rates start from $44 per night.

Should it be the cabins you’re more interested in, there are a few options. Cheapest are the open plan cabins costing from $119 per night.

There are also two bedroom cabins at the Big4 Bargara Beach, which cost from $155 per night. Bookings can be made online.
