Three Blue Ducks at Nimbo Fork Lodge

Accommodation prices start at around $240 per night, but you might want to visit just for the food. Nimbo Fork Lodge has teamed up with Three Blue Ducks, the restaurant chain that began at Bronte Beach in Sydney.

The emphasis is on ethical, sustainable food. There are also plenty of local ingredients on the menu, such as the Nimbo butterflied trout. As befits the location, the menu leans towards hearty mountain fare, such as scotch fillets and lamb racks.

Nimbo Fork Lodge is also happy to arrange a series of activities, including fly-fishing, horse-riding and bike-riding, in the surrounding area.

Other distinctive accommodation options near Gundagai include the eco huts at Kimo Estate.
