Where is Aslings Beach Rock Pool in Eden, NSW?
Yet the Aslings Beach Rock Pool is pretty easy to miss if you don’t know where it is.
One of the most beautiful hidden places in NSW, Aslings Beach is just north of Eden town centre. Along with Cocora Beach, it is one of the two easiest beaches to get to in Eden.
Aslings Beach is 2.3km long and faces east to south-east into Twofold Bay. There’s sometimes moderate surf, although it is not one of Australia’s great surfing beaches.

Swimming at Aslings Beach, Eden, is perfectly possible, and the beach is patrolled by lifeguards in the summer months. There can, however, be significant rips that inexperienced swimmers should be very wary of.
That is where the Aslings Beach Rock Pool comes in. This spectacular ocean pool is at the southern end of Eden’s favourite beach, cut below the cliff. Because of the cliff, it’s hard to see the Aslings Beach Rock Pool from the road. You really have to know it’s there to find it.
Getting to Aslings Beach Rock Pool
There’s no road access to the Aslings Beach Rock Pool. Indeed, there’s not even a path. You have to walk along the beach and scramble over some rocks to access the pool.
The reward is a smallish but stunning ocean pool, fed with water by the sea. The cliff background is part of what makes it special. There are white and pink layers flowing through the rock, with big purple bulges overhanging the pool.
