Hyams Beach is on Jervis Bay on the New South Wales South Coast. It is part of the city of Shoalhaven, with the nearest sizable towns beach Nowra to the north and Ulladulla to the south.

The village of Hyams Beach lies between the town of Vincentia and the Jervis Bay Territory. Access is via Naval College Road, which is the route into the Territory.
