Things to do in Largs Bay, SA: Largs Beach and Largs Bay Jetty
Largs Beach offers shallow water and sandbars. It’s a good spot for paddling and safe swimming, but pretty much hopeless for surfing.
The focal point of Largs Beach is the Largs Bay Jetty – which is often known as the Largs Pier. When the Largs Bay Jetty was originally built in 1882, it was 640 metres long. It had a railway line running to the end.
These days, the Largs Pier is a third of the original length. It is periodically closed for the replacement of timber decking. It starts next to the Largs Foreshore Playground and Largs Bay Kiosk.
