Mount Isa to Camooweal road trip: Camooweal Caves and Boodjamulla National Park

Fractionally before entering Camooweal, you’ll see the turn-off along the Gregory Downs Camooweal Road. This will take you to Camooweal Caves and, eventually, Boodjamulla National Park. This remote national park is best known as the home of Lawn Hill Gorge – a spectacular meeting of rugged stone landscapes and tropical vegetation.

Things to do in Camooweal include learning about cattle droving at the Drovers Camp, and visiting the gigantic cave mouths in Wiliyan-ngurru National Park.
