Crocodiles generally live in the tropical stretches of Australia, although they do come a little further south than the Tropic of Capricorn.

They don’t come as far south as Yamba, however. In fact, there are no crocodiles in New South Wales.

How far south do crocodiles come?

The generally accepted southern boundary of Croc Country is the Boyne River near Gladstone, Queensland. There have been crocodile sightings south of the Boyne River, but if any creep into this new turf, they are instantly earmarked for capture and removal.
