First up, as is made quite obvious by the show, Married At First Sight Australia is based in Sydney. And, for the last two series, the couples have stayed in the same apartments.

These Married At First Sight Australia apartments are the SKYE Suites on Kent Street, Sydney. These hotel apartments are on the corner of Market Street, a very short walk from the Pyrmont Bridge and Darling Harbour.

SKYE Suites expansion plans

The SKYE Suites are run by the Crown Group, and there are plans to launch the brand globally.

Construction of SKYE Suites Los Angeles is underway, while there are two other properties in Sydney at Green Square and Parramatta.

The accommodation options at the SKYE Suites are studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. And facilities include the gym – much talked about by the Married At First Sight couples, plus the much more rarely mentioned pool. This indoor swimming pool has an ice cave theme, and was designed by by award-winning architect Koichi Takada.

For food and drink, the Skittle Lane precinct is just outside. This new dining hotspot includes cocktail bar PS40, Japanese joint Michi Izakaya & Ramen, plus French-Portuguese restaurant Meu Jardim.
