The Cotton Tree Pool in Maroochydore is one of the best places to swim on the Sunshine Coast. Sure, the coast has several great beaches, but if you want to do laps and not have to contend with the surf, a different plan is needed.
The Cotton Tree Pool – officially the Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre – offers several options for swimming. There are three pools and a water park on site.

Is the Cotton Tree Pool heated?
The main attraction at the Cotton Tree Pool is the 50 metre heated outdoor pool. This is heated to 26 degrees, and is the main spot for lane swimming.
There’s also a 25 metre enclosed pool, heated to 29 degrees, plus a 12.5 metre pool primarily used by children. This one is heated to 31 degrees.

Of course, it’s the Cotton Tree Pool water park that children are most likely to be interested in. This isn’t a huge theme park with flumes and slides, but it’s big enough to keep kids happily splashing and playing.
One major plus for the Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre is its location. This Sunshine Coast pool complex is right by the Maroochy River and the Cotton Tree caravan park.
