In real life, the Round The Twist lighthouse is the Split Point Lighthouse in Aireys Inlet. This is a small Victorian town along the Great Ocean Road. Aireys Inlet is roughly half way between Anglesea and Lorne, a 125km drive south-west of Melbourne. From Melbourne CBD, it should take about an hour and 40 minutes to get to the Split Point Lighthouse.
