Coal River Farm: Taste chocolate and cheese near Hobart, Tasmania

Taste chocolate and cheese at Coal River Farm in Cambridge near Hobart, Tasmania. The High Cheese experience and gourmet selection boxes make it worth the visit.

Tasmania has some fine cellar doors for wine tasting. It also has some excellent brewery tours. And, if you go on a Lark Distillery tour, some rather splendid whisky tasting. But the food and drink sampling around Hobart goes much further than that.

Coal River Farm in Cambridge near Hobart specialises in chocolate and cheese. The Coal River Farm restaurant is highly regarded, but the real reason to book a table is the cheese boards. These come with dried fruits, crisp breads and fruit paste, and cost from $26 for two cheeses.
