Popular surf spot Seaford Beach, in the far south of Adelaide, is also a decent bet for swimmers. There’s also a good walking trail along the cliffs.
Seaford Beach, South Australia, is a perennially popular surfing spot. That’s as much due to accessibility as it is to do with the surf breaks – Seaford is an easy 46 minute train journey from central Adelaide on the Seaford line.

There are public toilets and a car park behind Seaford Beach, but otherwise this Adelaide beach is somewhat lacking in facilities. Don’t expect the sort of seaside suburb lined with cafés, ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops that you might get elsewhere. Seaford Beach is much quieter than that, and manages to retain an agreeably wild look.
