In the other direction, the Kalgoorlie to Perth train normally leaves at 7.05am, arriving in Perth at 1.45pm. The extra Monday and Friday services leave at 3pm and the Sunday service leaves at 2.05pm. This takes only about ten minutes longer than the drive from Kalgoorlie to Perth.

Prospector train fares and stops

The Prospector train is also a feasible way of getting to several Wheatbelt towns in Western Australia. After departing Perth, it stops at Midland, Toodyay, Northam, Meckering, Cunderdin,

Tammin and Kellerberrin. It then continues to Doodlakine, Hines Hill, Merredin, Burracoppin, Carrabin, Bodallin, Moorine Rock, Southern Cross, Koolyanobbing and Bonnie Vale.
