Chatkazz menu
The menu at Chatkazz is huge and doesn’t rely very heavily on traditional curries. The food choices are split into North Indian and South Indian dishes, with some rather interesting options available.
On the South Indian side of the menu, the dosas are the stars. But for something more snacky, the pakoras work well. Mixed veg pakoras, paneer pakoras and chilli pakoras are amongst the options. The menu leans more to northern India, however.
Perhaps the most unexpected aspect of the Chatkazz menu is the ‘between the breads’ section. These are essentially Indian sandwiches, and rather tempting. The masala cheese toast sandwich, for example, comes with spicy potato fillings, vegetables, chutney, tomato sauce and cheese.
Drinks at Chatkazz, Harris Park
Also unusual for an Indian restaurant is Chatkazz’s drinks menu. There are several fresh fruit juices available, including a carrot, beetroot and ginger ‘purple booster’. Fun mocktails are up for grabs, too. These include the Kalakhatta Mojito – a Mexican cooler with an Indian twist – and the Chatkazz Special with berries and mint.
The full menu is on the restaurant website.
Chatkazz also has an outlet in Bella Vista in north-western Sydney.
