From there, explore the Grampians region, including walks around the Boroka Lookout, Lake Bellfield and Mackenzie Falls. The Melbourne to Halls Gap drive takes just under three hours.

Keep the Melbourne to Uluru drive on the Western Highway, and you’ll reach Ararat, Stawell and the Giant Koala. It’s also worth exploring the Aboriginal rock art and Mount Stapylton in the northern chunk of the Grampians National Park.
