Woolwich Pier Hotel menu: Food
The Woolwich Pier Hotel menu does a bit more than the usual pub classics, however. There’s a French meets Japanese flavour, with lots of wagyu steaks amongst the steak frites.
The sharing dishes are perhaps the most interesting at this harbourside hostelry, however. Fun choices to tuck into include the Kurobata Scotch pork roast and the slow-cooked lamb shoulder.
The drinks menu also opts for that mix of classics and interesting newer options.
Woolwich Pier Hotel menu: Beer and wine
So, with beers, you can get some Aussie standards such as Toohey’s New and Carlton Draught. But there are also efforts from smaller, newer breweries, including Kosciuszko Pale Ale, Stone and Wood Pacific Ale and Balter XPA.
There’s also a surprisingly strong list of wines, with multiple options for several varietals. So, for a shiraz, you can try the Four In Hand from the Barossa Valley, a Gemtree Ernest Allen from the McLaren Vale and the Bremerton Selkirk from Langhorne Creek.
