How long is the Gore Highway?
By Australian standards, the Gore Highway is a relative baby. It is 197km long, and carries the A39 badge all the way along its route.
Beginning just to the north-west of Toowoomba at the junction with the Warrego Highway, this major route through southern Queensland meets the Toowomba-Athol Road in Athol. It then continues towards Pampas and Millmerran.
Mural-covered Millmerran is arguably the best place for an overnight stop on the Gore Highway. Accommodation options include the Millmerran Motel and Millmerran Village Caravan Park.
Where does the Gore Highway end?
The Gore Highway ends about 19km of Goondiwindi town centre, at the junction with the Leichhardt Highway. If you want to continue into Goondiwindi, keep going down the Leichhardt.
